“ALACRÁN” (translated: Scorpion) comes from the family Typhlochactidae, which serves as the only subfamily of the Alacraninae. This family of yellow scorpions is endemic to Mexico and are extremely venomous.

Alacrán is a limited-edition production run of only (200) Colt 1911 Full Size Government Models chambered in 38 Super. Featuring a semi-polished stainless finish on the slide and frame flats with selective 24k gold controls, each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.
Scorpions are among the oldest terrestrial arthropods, which are distributed worldwide. Mexico harbors the highest diversity of scorpions in the world, including some of the world’s medically important scorpion species. Being stung by a dangerous scorpion can be a medical emergency regardless of age or health. The study of their venom is vital in order develop antivenom ranging up to $36 million per gallon.

The art focuses on the various deadliest yellow-tone (represented in 24k gold) scorpions in Mexico. The custom engraved scroll pattern resembles the scorpion’s stinger. On the top of the slide, SK Customs amplified a depiction of a “super” scorpion with its pinchers wrapping down each side of the slide near the muzzle in 24k gold.
To complete the firearm, SK Customs engraved a custom font in 24k gold with the word “ALACRAN” on top of the slide near the camber.
The production comes with genuine Beechwood grips with the 24k gold Colt Rampart.
